Our Singing bowls include a wood and suede mallet. Hand hammered singing bowl sizes will vary, some are thicker, some are thinner. The size and weight given here is an average. Singing Bowls are one of the ancient Tibetan meditation tools. The pure sound produced when the rim is rubbed by the mallet is said to put the brain into a meditative state. The vibrations of the singing bowls have the same wave length found in the brain waves that produce feelings of relaxation. This bowl is made from a combination of 7 metals consisting of gold, silver, copper, iron, tin, lead and mercury and one interesting thing is that each of the metals denotes the planets: Gold: the Sun, Silver: the Moon, Mercury: Mercury, Copper: Venus, Iron: Mars, Tin: Jupiter and Lead: Saturn.
SYMBOL: The Dorje represents the thunderbolt of enlightenment.
