Join us at The Zen Shop for our FREE Samhain Celebration  Oshawa– Parting of the Veil, a sacred gathering led by High Priestess Rev. Karyn Williams.

Samhain (pronounced SAH-win) is one of the most sacred and powerful celebrations on the Pagan calendar. Known as the Witches’ New Year, Samhain marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the darker half of the year. It is a time of reflection, transformation, remembrance and renewal.

Traditionally, Samhain is believed to be the time when the veil between the world of the living and the spirit world is at its thinnest, making it a particularly meaningful occasion to honour our ancestors, remember departed loved ones and embrace the mysteries of life, death and rebirth.

Parting of the Veil – Sacred Samhain Ritual

At 12:00 PM, High Priestess Rev. Karyn Williams will lead a traditional Samhain ceremony within our sacred space at The Zen Shop.

The ritual will include the ceremonial opening and cleansing of our sacred space, casting of the circle, calling of the quarters and raising of sacred energy.

Together, we will honour and invoke Hecate, the Triple Goddess, in her powerful Crone aspect, celebrating the wisdom of the aging Goddess and the eternal cycles of life, death and rebirth.

Through sacred ritual, blessings and ancestral remembrance, we will embrace the spiritual significance of Samhain and the ancient traditions associated with this magical time of year.

A Candle for Those Who Have Passed

One of the most meaningful traditions of Samhain is honouring those who have crossed beyond the veil.

Guests are invited to bring a photograph of a departed loved one to place upon our ancestral altar during the ceremony.

Each participant will be provided with a candle to light in remembrance of a loved one who has passed. Together, we will create a beautiful space of remembrance, love and connection as we honour the memories and spirits of those who came before us.

Release & Regret Burning

Samhain is also a time to release the past and make way for new beginnings.

As part of our sacred ceremony, participants will have the opportunity to take part in a Release & Regret Burning Ritual, symbolically releasing regrets, burdens, old patterns or anything that no longer serves their highest good.

As the Witches’ New Year begins, we honour what has ended and welcome the possibilities of what is yet to come.
