Full Harvest Moon Ritual: Gathering the Harvest & Giving Thanks
The Harvest Moon is the Full Moon that falls closest to the Autumn Equinox—a glowing symbol of the turning season and the time when we gather what has grown from the seeds we planted earlier in the year. September’s Full Moon is also traditionally known as the Corn Moon, reflecting the season when crops were ready to be gathered and the abundance of the land celebrated.
Arriving just days after the Autumn Equinox, within the energy of Mabon, this Full Moon carries powerful themes of harvest, gratitude, abundance, balance and completion. Spiritually, it is a time to recognize how far you have come, give thanks for what has manifested, and consider what you are ready to carry forward into the darker half of the year.
The Harvest Moon reminds us that not every harvest is something we can hold in our hands. Sometimes the harvest is wisdom gained, healing accomplished, boundaries established, relationships strengthened, lessons learned or simply realizing how much we have grown.
To honour this beautiful seasonal energy, join High Priestess Rev. Karyn Williams for our Full Harvest Moon Ritual. Held under the veil of night and illuminated by candlelight, this sacred gathering will guide participants through the formal casting and protection of a circle, including traditional quarter calls using specific ritual tools.
Karyn will also share a special recipe from her Grandmother’s Book of Shadows, along with thoughtfully prepared correspondence handouts to deepen your understanding of the Harvest Moon, its seasonal associations and the magick of this powerful time of year.
