A Celebration of Light, Purification & Renewal

Imbolc, also known as Brigid’s Day, is a sacred Celtic fire festival marking the midway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. It celebrates the return of light, the stirring of new life within the Earth, and the promise of rebirth and renewal as winter begins to fade.

Rooted in ancient agricultural traditions, Imbolc honours the growing strength of the sun, the fertility of the land, and the cyclical nature of life. At the heart of this festival is Brigid—Goddess of fire, healing, poetry, fertility, and the hearth—whose sacred flame represents purification, inspiration, and the rekindling of hope for the coming season.

This year, Imbolc aligns with the Full Snow Moon, making it a powerful time for reflection, release, and intention-setting. We will be weaving these two sacred energies into one meaningful and transformative FREE ceremony.

Join High Priestess Cynthia Calder as she opens our circle and leads an authentic Imbolc candle-lighting ritual to invoke Brigid. The ceremony will include:

• A prayer, blessing, and poem for the season ahead

• A guided meditation to honour the shifting energies of late winter

• A burning bowl ritual to release what no longer serves you

• Teachings on the spiritual significance of the Full Snow Moon

This ceremony is a beautiful opportunity to honour the return of light, reconnect with ancient traditions, and step forward into the new season with clarity and purpose.

A casual social gathering will follow the Imbolc & Brigid’s Celtic Fire Ceremony, giving you the chance to meet and connect with our High Priestess and like-minded community members. Coffin Creek Coffee and water will be available for a small fee to help cover costs.
