Samhain Ritual Candle Making Workshop in Oshawa

Samhain Ritual Candle Making Workshop in Oshawa
Celebrate the Witch’s New Year with a little candle magick at The Zen Shop!

As the Wheel of the Year turns and the veil between worlds is believed to grow thinner, join us at The Zen Shop in Oshawa for a magical Samhain Ritual Candle Making Workshop, celebrating one of the most sacred and mysterious festivals of the Pagan calendar.

Samhain (pronounced Sow-in) marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the darker half of the year. Often referred to as the Witch’s New Year, it is a time of reflection, transformation, remembrance and honouring those who have walked before us. It is also a powerful time for protection, spiritual connection and setting intentions for the coming year.

Create Your Own Samhain Ritual Candle

In this hands-on candle making workshop, you’ll craft a beautiful, two-toned Samhain Ritual Candle, combining the powerful symbolism of colour, carefully selected ingredients and personal intention.

Black Wax – Protection & Grounding

Representing protection, the release of negativity and the mysteries of the darker half of the year, black provides the foundation for your ritual candle.

Orange Wax – Energy & Transformation

Symbolizing vitality, courage, creativity and new beginnings, orange represents the transformative energy of Samhain and the promise of a new cycle.

Magickal Herbs, Crystals & a Keepsake Charm

Your candle will be adorned with a specially chosen combination of herbs and crystals associated with protection, remembrance, intuition and spiritual connection. Each ingredient has been thoughtfully selected for its traditional magickal correspondences and connection to the spirit of Samhain.

To complete your creation, you’ll receive a charming keepsake Witch’s Hat pendant, celebrating the magick, wisdom and traditions of the Witch’s New Year!

More Than Just Candle Making

This isn’t simply an ordinary candle-making class. You’ll also explore the meaning and traditions of Samhain, the symbolism behind your candle’s colours and ingredients, and how intention can be incorporated into candle magick.

As you create your candle, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on what you wish to release, what you hope to welcome into the coming year and the memories of loved ones and ancestors you wish to honour.

Your finished Samhain Ritual Candle will be a beautiful seasonal creation and a meaningful symbol of Protection • Remembrance • Transformation • Spiritual Connection.
