Crystals are amazing earthly treasures! Bringing the power of crystals into your life can be life changing! I first discovered my love for crystals by being intuitively attracted to them at a young age. This is how I recommend choosing your crystals, especially if you’re just starting out. Try not to get too caught up in the meanings of the different crystals. Keep it simple and let what you feel, guide you.
That being said, don’t get worried too much about how you feel physically while holding your crystals. Some people have very visceral, physical reactions to crystals and some don’t. There’s no right or wrong way to connect to a crystal. If you are drawn to it because of how it makes you feel or because of its beauty; this is your intuition. Trust yourself. I feel crystals on this level more so than the physical level.
I also ‘see’ with my third eye, the energy of a crystal. This insight helps me to care for my crystals and to know which ones to use in healing; whether I’m creating a grid, in a reading, or hosting a crystal healing circle. The bottom line is trust yourself. If you don’t know about your third eye, or how to activate it, don’t fret, you can still bring the power of crystals into your life.
Crystal energy is beautifully healing. They can amplify and support your intentions from attracting prosperity to healing a broken heart. I find myself often saying “I’ve got a crystal for that” when doing healing work. The energy of a crystal can be subtle, to powerful, to intense.
Now, I know that I just suggested that you pick your crystals intuitively to start, but I’m going to give you a few of my “go to” foundation crystals that have multiple purposes.
Clear Quartz: Often referred to as The Master Stone. It is a powerful “programmable” crystal that will amplify any intention.
Amethyst: All over connection to the divine. It has a very soothing and calming effect. It is a master all round healer spiritually, emotionally and physically.
Selenite: Beautiful calming energy. Connection to the divine cosmos. Can clear and charge all other crystals and never needs recharging itself. Feminine energy connected to the moon.
Black Tourmaline: Super protective and grounding energy. Keeping negativity at bay and helping you feel connected to the earth.
